A lofty view of Manchester
Tom
Bloxham is an entrepreneur with an eye for design. He was amongst the
first to spot the housing potential of Manchester's derelict industrial
buildings. Now residents are flocking from the suburbs to the heart of the
city to live in flats and lofts carved out of disused mills and factories.
Bloxham believes this is the only way to
preserve the city's Victorian heritage. Many of his refurbished buildings
are equipped for both living and working - restating a principle of 19th
Century city design that people should be able to live close to their
work.
